Trusting God Blindly

When you think about a person who is blind, it's commonly believed that their other senses are heightened to compensate for their loss of sight. I remember watching a movie a few weeks ago where a young blind girl could sense the distance of a parked car. She was able to hear the subtle noises the car made, even though it was turned off, and determine how far away it was parked. This scene made me think about how God often asks us to trust Him, even when we can't see what lies ahead. What do you do when God asks you to trust Him blindly? Walking blindly isn't easy because you don't always know what is in front of you.
It's amazing how our other senses are heightened while we trust God. We learn to hear God better because we are praying and spending more time with Him. Our discernment grows stronger, and therefore, we know when to make the next move under His guidance. When we trust God, He teaches us how to 'see' in the dark by listening to His voice. As stated in John 10:27, 'My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.'
People often place their trust in their jobs to pay them every two weeks, bi-weekly, or monthly for their services. That's a great deal of faith... but in man, not in God! God challenges us by asking, 'Why not have that kind of faith in Me, who knows the road ahead?'
Trusting God blindly, even when it doesn’t make sense. Trusting God in your storm. What are you not trusting God with? I challenge you today to trust God with everything you have!
